Project Engineer

Position: Injection Molding Project Engineer

Location: Vasai -Maharashtra

Industry: Plastics Manufacturing / Tooling

Qualification: Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering (CIPET/IGTR/NTTF preferred)

Experience: Proven experience in injection molding, mold design, and tool room operations

Key Responsibilities:

· Project Management: Lead and manage projects from the design phase to final production, ensuring timely execution and quality outcomes.

· Mold Design & Development: Oversee the design of injection molds using 3D CAD software (SolidWorks, NX, etc.), including modeling, 2D drawings, and validation for manufacturability.

· Tool Room Supervision: Manage tool room operations including new tool builds, mold tryouts, modifications, and preventive maintenance.

· Process Optimization & Troubleshooting: Ensure robust injection molding processes by analyzing and resolving mold, machine, and process issues to improve productivity and reduce downtime.

· Quality Compliance: Ensure compliance with ISO and internal quality standards. Maintain accurate production and process records.

· DFM (Design for Manufacturing):Apply DFM principles to ensure optimized mold and part design for cost-effective and reliable manufacturing.

· Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work closely with design, engineering, manufacturing, and QA teams to ensure cohesive project execution.

· Vendor Management: Coordinate with external vendors for timely mold/tool delivery and to ensure adherence to quality standards.

Required Skills & Competencies:

· In-depth knowledge of plastics injection molding, including materials, processes, and equipment

· Strong understanding of mold design principles and troubleshooting

· Proficiency in 3D CAD tools (SolidWorks, Siemens NX preferred)

· Knowledge of DFM and mold flow analysis

· Good analytical and problem-solving skills

· Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines effectively

· Excellent communication and team coordination skills.
