Project Analyst

As a Project Analyst at Bristol Myers Squibb, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Portfolio and PMO governance lead. Your primary responsibility will be to provide financial management, operational oversight, and strategic insights to optimize the services provided by the GPS IT function to our customers. In this role, you will be tasked with overseeing the health and performance of GPS IT projects by closely monitoring and analyzing data, actuals, and forecasting. You will also be advising on opportunities that can enhance the financial position and operational efficiencies of the organization. Additionally, you will work towards proactively identifying risks and barriers to project goals and optimizing the overall health of the portfolio. Your duties will include supporting the development of reporting capabilities for GPS IT, providing analytics to facilitate improvements and optimize performance across the function. You will be responsible for producing reports and statistics that ensure transparency, predictability of execution, and financial performance within the Portfolio and PMO. Furthermore, you will be involved in financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and developing reporting capabilities to support transparent financial management within the GPS IT function. Your role will require technical expertise, financial analytics, and operational excellence to drive positive outcomes and data improvements. You will collaborate with Delivery leads as necessary on transactional execution of projects and assist Project Managers with project coordination activities. Additionally, you will support in measuring and tracking qualitative and quantitative benefits realization from investments, maintaining project management processes, tools, templates, and conducting periodic project audits. The ideal candidate for this position should hold a bachelor's degree or higher in mathematics, statistics, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field. Proven experience as a Project Analyst in a fast-paced environment, along with proficiency in project management tools and software, is preferred. Strong analytical, communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills are essential for success in this role.
