Program Associate

Key Result Areas (KRAs)

1. Data Analysis and Insight Generation

• Engage with government departments to collect relevant datasets and design/administer both quantitative and qualitative tools.
• Support in data cleaning, structuring, and organizing for analysis.
• Conduct robust qualitative and quantitative analysis to identify key trends and bottlenecks.
• Extract actionable insights from complex datasets for internal and external stakeholders.
• Ensure timely resolution of data issues to enable smooth project execution.
• Maintain compliance with data security and internal data management protocols.

2. Research and Documentation

• Conduct independent research and root cause analysis to inform decision-making.
• Develop comprehensive presentations and documentation that convey critical insights.
• Collaborate across teams to co-develop and implement technical or policy solutions suited to the state’s context.
• Draft concept notes, policy briefs, reports, and memos for stakeholder engagement and communication.

3. Stakeholder Engagement and Communication

• Identify project needs, evaluate contingencies, and maintain active engagement with key stakeholders.
• Liaise regularly with government officials, partner organizations, and other relevant actors to gather updates and insights.
• Organize and coordinate stakeholder meetings, feedback sessions, and consultations to inform project direction.
• Foster strong, trust-based relationships with stakeholders and proactively suggest ways to deepen collaboration.

4. Project Management & Delivery

• Understand project objectives and coordinate effectively with internal teams and external partners for timely delivery.
• Assist in evaluating multiple frameworks, tools, and solutions to support evidence-based decision-making.
• Plan and manage workstreams, ensuring alignment with timelines, deliverables, and quality benchmarks.
• Adapt project goals based on feedback and emerging insights, and flag potential risks proactively.
• Contribute to knowledge management processes, including maintaining and updating project documentation and knowledge repositories.
  

Qualifications

• Master’s degree (or equivalent) in Economics, Public Policy, Social Sciences, or related fields from a reputed institution. Exceptional graduates may also be considered.
• 1–3 years of relevant experience, with at least 1 years working in India in research agencies, think tanks, government advisory roles, or public sector consulting.
• Demonstrated experience in managing projects and contributing to analytical components.
• Proficient in data cleaning, analysis of large datasets, and basic econometrics.
• Strong knowledge of

  STATA

  or

  R/Python

  (strongly preferred), or other statistical tools.
• Prior experience in client servicing or working with government departments is a plus.
• Strong proficiency in MS Office and tools for report writing and presentations.
