Production Supervisor

Job Description

Job Title: Production Supervisor The Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and managing daily production operations on the shop floor. The role ensures that manufacturing processes run reliably, efficiently, and safely to meet production targets, quality standards, and deadlines. Key Responsibilities: 1. Production Management Plan, coordinate, and supervise daily production schedules. Ensure timely completion of production orders with minimal downtime. Allocate manpower and resources effectively for maximum output. 2. Quality Control Ensure that products meet quality standards and specifications. Coordinate with the quality team to identify and resolve defects or process issues 3. Team Supervision Lead, train, and monitor shop floor workers and operators. Evaluate employee performance and provide feedback. 4. Process Improvement Identify bottlenecks and suggest process improvements. Assist in implementation of lean manufacturing and 5S practices. 5. Machine & Tool Maintenance Coordinate with maintenance team to ensure proper functioning of machinery. Ensure tools, dies, and equipment are used and maintained properly. 6. Safety and Compliance Enforce safety protocols and ensure a clean and hazard-free work environment. Maintain compliance with company policies and statutory regulations. 7. Reporting & Documentation Maintain production records, shift reports, and downtime logs. Report production metrics (output, efficiency, defects, etc.) to management. Key Skills & Competencies: Strong leadership and communication skills. Practical knowledge of manufacturing processes Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production plans. Good understanding of quality assurance standards and health & safety regulations. Proficiency in basic computer and production software. Experience Supervisory or team lead experience is preferred.
