Production Supervisor

Position Overview

The Production Supervisor oversees daily manufacturing operations, ensuring production processes run efficiently, safely, and in line with quality standards. This role is responsible for managing production staff, meeting output targets, maintaining equipment, and enforcing company policies and safety regulations.

Key Responsibilities

· Strong knowledge of machining processes and Grinding processes with manufacturing practices.

· Hands-on experience in production planning, with proven problem-solving skills to address and resolve shop floor challenges.

• Supervise and coordinate day-to-day activities of the production team.
• Plan, organize, and monitor production schedules to meet customer demand and deadlines.
• Ensure adherence to quality control standards and resolve production or quality issues promptly.
• Monitor the use of equipment and arrange timely maintenance or repairs.
• Train, coach, and evaluate production staff to enhance performance and maintain discipline.
• Maintain records of production output, downtime, and resource usage.
• Enforce workplace safety rules and promote a culture of health and safety compliance.
• Collaborate with other departments (Quality, Maintenance, Supply Chain, etc.) to optimize operations.
• Identify process improvement opportunities to reduce waste, enhance efficiency, and cut costs.
• Report production performance metrics to senior management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering, Production, Industrial Management, or related field (preferred).
• Proven experience (1–3 years) in a supervisory role within manufacturing/production.
• Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of production processes, quality standards, and lean manufacturing principles.
• Ability to troubleshoot issues and make quick, effective decisions.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and MS Office applications.
• Good understanding of workplace safety practices and compliance regulations.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
