Production Supervisor

We are looking for a Production Supervisor who is eager to take ownership of both quality control and daily production operations. Key Responsibilities:

Quality Control:

• Inspect raw materials (kraft paper) to ensure GSM, BF, and moisture are within tolerance limits.
• Conduct quality checks on corrugated sheets and boxes for ECT, compression strength, bursting strength, and visual parameters.
• Monitor in-process quality during production runs; identify defects and escalate to the Production Manager.
• Approve/reject lots based on pre-set quality standards; maintain rejection and rework logs.
• Verify dimensions, printing accuracy, die-cut alignment, and finishing of cartons before dispatch.
• Maintain daily QC reports, inspection records, and testing logs in Excel and company ERP.
• Liaise with clients during audits and sampling, providing documentation and quality test reports.

Production Support:

• Supervise daily production operations, coordinating with operators and helpers.
• Ensure machines are running at optimal settings and production targets are achieved.
• Monitor wastage levels, downtime, and raw material usage; suggest improvements to reduce costs.
• Assign tasks to production helpers and oversee their discipline, attendance, and output.
• Support planning of daily schedules based on dispatch requirements and raw material availability.
• Train and guide staff on maintaining quality during production and proper handling of materials.
• Act as the bridge between Production Manager, QC team, and Dispatch team to ensure smooth workflow.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree/diploma in Science, Engineering, or related field preferred.
• 1–3 years of experience in QC or Production within packaging, printing, or manufacturing industries.
• Strong knowledge of corrugated board testing (GSM, BF, ECT, CS) and visual inspection standards.
• Familiarity with production processes in corrugation and related machines.
• Proficiency in MS Excel for reporting and record-keeping.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills to manage operators and helpers.
• Ability to multitask across quality and production functions in a fast-paced factory environment.
