Production Planning Engineer

Role Overview: As a Production Planning Engineer-Gas Insulated Switchgear, you will be responsible for having a basic knowledge of shop floor loading and scheduling activities, production planning, and control. You are expected to be familiar with best manufacturing practices such as lean manufacturing, KANBAN, VMI, KAIZEN, etc. Your experience in assembly shops involving make-to-order and make-to-stock scenarios, as well as coordination with cross-functions like testing, stores, packing, engineering, purchase, and production, will be valuable. Expertise in PP&MM modules of SAP is required for this role. Key Responsibilities: - Experience in Demand Planning & Material forecasting process. - Expertise in SAP MRP data settings & resolution of MRP Exception Messages. - Proficiency in Material planning & scheduling and material tracking in projects scenario. - Experience in Inventory control, Inventory analysis, and Obsolescence reduction. - Competent in setting up PP Master Data for a new factory. - Responsible for master planning of capacity & materials through SAP. Qualifications Required: - Degree or Diploma in Mechanical/Production/Electrical engineering with a good academic track record. - Degree holders should have 3 to 5 years of experience, while diploma holders should have a minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience. - Ensuring compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines. - Living Hitachi Energy's core values of safety and integrity. Additional Details: Your background should include a Degree in Mechanical/Electrical Engineering with enhanced SAP knowledge. Expertise in PP and MM modules in SAP with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience is required. Experience in the manufacturing industry will be an added advantage. Good communication skills, planning, scheduling, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities are essential. You should be a quick learner with an interest in mastering new technologies and proficiency in both spoken and written English language.
