Job Description

production manager oversees all manufacturing activities, ensuring products are made safely, on time, within budget, and meet quality standards. Key duties include planning and scheduling production, managing resources like raw materials and personnel, maintaining equipment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and coordinating with other departments to optimize the production process and meet company objectives. Responsibilities

  • Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop, manage, and adjust production schedules to ensure timely delivery of products.
  • Resource Management: Assess and allocate necessary resources, including workforce, raw materials, and equipment, to meet production targets.
  • Budget & Cost Control: Estimate costs, prepare budgets, monitor expenses, and implement strategies to reduce production costs.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure products meet required quality standards, setting and monitoring quality control measures.
  • Team Leadership & Supervision: Supervise production staff, assign tasks, monitor performance, and motivate the team to maximize output and efficiency.
  • Process Optimization: Identify opportunities for improvement in the production process to increase efficiency, reduce downtime, and improve output.
  • Equipment Management: Ensure manufacturing equipment is in good working order, coordinate maintenance, and approve purchases of new equipment.
  • Health & Safety Compliance: Enforce adherence to health and safety regulations and guidelines within the production environment.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Liaise with other departments, such as engineering, quality assurance, logistics, and sales, to align objectives and requirements.
  • Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare performance reports for upper management.
