Committed to driving sustainable mobility solutions, We are seeking a Production Manager, will be responsible for overseeing the entire production process of EV two-wheelers including chassis manufacturing, battery assembly, and vehicle assembly . The role demands a focus on production efficiency, product quality, cost optimization, on-time delivery, and safety compliance. The incumbent will lead and manage production teams, drive lean manufacturing practices, and ensure continuous improvement to achieve SVM’s business and customer goals This role offers a unique opportunity to shape the perception of our company on the global stage and engage with a diverse group of stakeholders. Key Roles and Responsibilities Production and Operations Management Lead day-to-day operations of chassis manufacturing, battery pack assembly, and complete vehicle assembly lines. Ensure production schedules are met in alignment with quality standards, delivery timelines, and cost targets. Monitor and control Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) such as productivity, efficiency, scrap, downtime, and rework. Coordinate with planning, supply chain, engineering, and quality departments to ensure smooth production flow. Implement lean manufacturing practices, Kaizen, and continuous improvement tools to enhance output and reduce waste. Ensure engineering changes, pilot builds, and model upgrades are successfully integrated into production processes. Quality and Compliance Achieve company-defined quality standards and ensure both internal and external customer satisfaction. Ensure adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), quality inspection protocols, and audit requirements. Conduct root cause analysis and implement robust corrective measures to address quality concerns. Sustain corrective actions to prevent recurring issues and maintain compliance with regulatory and homologation standards. Equipment and Process Management Ensure proper operation, maintenance, and availability of production equipment across all lines. Support breakdown resolution by coordinating with maintenance teams. Promote and implement Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) to minimize downtime. Drive process optimization, layout design, FMEA, Poka-Yoke, and other problem-solving techniques to strengthen reliability and productivity. People Management and Development Lead, supervise, and motivate production teams across chassis, battery, and vehicle assembly areas. Provide clear direction, set performance expectations, and deliver regular feedback to team members. Manage attendance, discipline, and personnel issues in line with company policies and agreements. Plan and implement operator training programs for new processes, products, and systems. Build a high-performance culture by encouraging employee involvement, teamwork, and ownership. Ensure a safe working environment and instill a strong safety-first mindset among team members. Continuous Improvement and Reporting Drive continuous improvement initiatives in efficiency, safety, and quality through structured problem-solving. Engage with cross-functional teams to develop and refine processes, controls, and work instructions. Prepare and present reports on production metrics, manpower performance, and improvement activities. Champion digital adoption and data-driven decision-making to optimize operations. Key Skills and Competencies Strong experience in high-volume manufacturing, preferably automotive or EV. Expertise in lean manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, FMEA, Poka-Yoke, and process improvement. Proven leadership and people management skills with the ability to develop and motivate teams. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with a focus on practical solutions. Knowledge of production costs including waste, downtime, scrap, and rework. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict resolution abilities. Adaptability, resilience, and commitment to high standards of performance.
