Job Title: Production Engineer

Location: Atlas Transformers India Limited (Por, Gidc)

Experience : 1 to 2 year in Transformers Industry

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Production Engineer to oversee and optimize the manufacturing process of electrical transformers (power and distribution). The ideal candidate will be responsible for ensuring efficient production, maintaining quality standards, and coordinating with cross-functional teams to meet delivery targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan, schedule, and oversee the day-to-day transformer manufacturing operations.
• Monitor production processes and adjust schedules as needed to meet deadlines and cost targets.
• Ensure adherence to quality standards as per IEC, IS, and customer-specific requirements.
• Supervise fabrication, core assembly, coil winding, tanking, oil filling, and testing processes.
• Work closely with design and quality teams to resolve production issues.
• Implement and improve lean manufacturing, 5S, and Kaizen practices.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Maintain production documentation including route cards, process sheets, and inspection reports.
• Troubleshoot machinery or equipment breakdowns in coordination with maintenance teams.
• Train and guide shop floor personnel and technicians.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering.
• 1 to 2 years of experience in transformer or heavy electrical equipment manufacturing.
• Knowledge of transformer components: core, winding, insulation, tank, bushings, etc.
• Familiar with transformer manufacturing standards (e.g., IS, IEC, ANSI).
• Strong understanding of production planning tools (ERP systems preferred).
• Good analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office, AutoCAD/SolidWorks (optional but beneficial).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹17,000.00 - ₹22,000.00 per month
