Production Engineer in Solar

Summary

The Production Executive/Engineer is responsible for overseeing and managing the day-to-day operations of the solar PV module manufacturing line. This includes maintaining quality standards, ensuring production targets are met, coordinating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring safety and compliance across the production floor.

• Production Planning & Execution:
• Execute daily production plans as per schedule.
• Coordinate with planning and stores for raw material availability.
• Optimize machine utilization and manpower allocation.
• Process Monitoring & Control:
• Monitor each stage of the PV module production line (e.g., cell stringing, lamination, framing, EL testing).
• Ensure adherence to SOPs and work instructions.
• Identify and troubleshoot process deviations or bottlenecks.
• Quality Control:
• Work closely with Quality team to ensure in-process and final quality standards.
• Implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) for process rejections or failures.
• Support FQC/IPQC audits and ensure zero-defect output.
• Team Supervision:
• Supervise line operators, technicians, and contract workers.
• Train new workers on standard procedures and safety norms.
• Ensure discipline and attendance of production staff.
• Machine & Equipment Coordination:
• Collaborate with Maintenance for timely servicing and breakdown handling.
• Ensure proper operation and cleanliness of production equipment.
• Safety & Compliance:
• Enforce plant safety practices and use of PPE.
• Report any unsafe conditions or incidents.
• Follow EHS policies and statutory compliance.
• Documentation & Reporting:
• Maintain production records, shift reports, and downtime logs.
• Support data entry for ERP/production management systems.
• Submit daily MIS reports to management.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, or relevant engineering field.
• 1–3 years of experience in solar PV module manufacturing preferred.
• Familiarity with machines like stringer, laminator, EL tester.
• Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
• Willingness to work in shifts and under pressure.

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ₹10,000.00 - ₹45,000.00 per month

Ability to commute/relocate:

• Surat, Gujarat: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)

Experience:

• Solar Field: 2 years (Required)
