Production Assistant Manager

We are seeking experienced Production professionals with strong exposure to milk and milk products manufacturing to plan, execute, and monitor end-to-end plant operations. The role ensures efficient production planning, inventory control, documentation, and cross-functional coordination in compliance with food safety and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, implement, and monitor all plant operation–related activities to achieve production targets
• Review daily conversion statements for effective planning and submit reports to management
• Maintain and update daily stock statements for milk, curd, and finished products with appropriate remarks
• Execute daily production planning and scheduling in line with demand forecasts
• Plan and coordinate routine and scheduled maintenance and plant cleaning activities
• Coordinate bulk product dispatch as per inputs from the Sales Department
• Ensure strict adherence to FIFO during product dispatch with batch-wise and date-wise traceability
• Maintain accurate inventory records and stock controls
• Manage and maintain documentation related to process changes, deviations, rejected, and reprocessed materials
• Ensure compliance with FSSAI, GMP, HACCP, ISO 22000, and internal quality systems
• Manage shop-floor manpower, shift operations, and productivity
• Coordinate with Maintenance, Quality, Stores, Dispatch, and Sales teams for smooth operations
• Support internal and external audits, inspections, and continuous improvement initiatives

Qualifications

• BE / BTech / Diploma in Dairy Technology or Food Technology
• Postgraduate qualification will be an added advantage

Experience

• 8+ years of relevant experience in dairy production

Key Competencies

• Strong knowledge of dairy processing and plant operations
• Expertise in production planning, inventory control, and documentation
• Good leadership, communication, and coordination skills
• High attention to compliance, quality, and operational discipline
