Responsible for execution of mechanical aspects within a project or product. Ensures that engineering is done on time, on budget and to the specifications agreed. Ensures the right quality of the product or project

- Works on standardization, product improvement, and development efforts of product line (Value Enginering)
- May work on research and development projects
- Supports technical development of members within the team
- Travels to job sites and regional offices as required in support of equipment problems, installations, and sales efforts
- Assists operations with manufacturing problems and implementation of low cost sourcing initiatives
- May assist in development of design standards / guides, guide specifications, and design control procedures
- Analyzes complex design problems requiring the development of new or improved techniques or procedures
- Reviews and approves design drawings including 3D
- Reviews customer specifications
- Performs and Reviews mechanical calculations
- Promotes a culture of personal and team safety, including others who may be affected by the company’s operational activities

Your Responsibilities
- Specifications for and mechanical design of Pyro products - Preheater, Kilns, Coolers and Similar equipment used in producing cement clinker, including design calculations, Sizing and documentation.
- Support to proposal, sales departments and Project Management
- Release of deliverables meeting the defined quality norms while ensuring adherence to contractual / project specific requirements within the defined time frames
- Technical assistance to colleagues worldwide, suppliers and plant sites on time, technical discussion with clients.
- Work in close collaboration with the Chief Engineer & other stakeholders
- Design and support state of the art cement plant equipment, prepare necessary documentation covering everything from risk assessments, drawings, specifications, instructions, and design manuals.
- Prepare/Update design manuals to be used for standard order handling
- Make technical drawings and 3D design work using SolidWorks
- Apply design judgements using the knowledge of Fits, Tolerances, Finish, Manufacturing methods and work shop practices.
- Prepare end user documentation which meets the latest quality standards and end user requirement.
- Deliver the best possible quality – also when deadlines turn tough and it takes serious persistence to get to the goal.
- Ensure project tracking in all stages with accurate data and documentation for future retrieval
- Support Customer service for spare parts sales and retrofit.
- Timely communication to all stakeholders.
What you bring:
- Proficient to work in Microsoft Office Tools.
- Proficient to work in teams as well as independently.
- Good in English at 'negotiation level' both written and orally.
- Proficient in trouble shooting on site with a hands-on approach.
- Expert in documentation which meets the quality standards.
- Skilled/Proficient making 3D models for Products.
- Expert in technical drawings and 3D design work using SolidWorks
- Proficient in doing product layouts in 3D & Autocad
