Job Description Position: Product Manager Mechanical - Residential Segment Location: Pune Department: Sales Support Reporting to: National Retail Head Yale & Project Sales Director & administratively to Plant Head Position Summary The position will be responsible for driving new product development Mechanical Hardware for Yale & ASSA ABLOY in the SAARC region. This would require gathering market intelligence, product benchmarking with competitors and ensuring a pipeline of new products to cater to the market needs across different segments and sales channels. Roles and Responsibilities  Understand customer needs through structured process of VOC (Voice of customer) – Internal and External customers  Product benchmarking against competition  Manage product lifecycle and prepare product roadmap for new products for next 3 years  Collaborate with different functions – Sales, Marketing & Sourcing to ensure timely launch of new products  Improve margins in the product category through product differentiation and price management  Periodically assess the sales performance of SKUs and plan necessary improvement action plan  Impart product training to Sales and Service team Skills Required  Technical and Solution oriented approach is must  Good commercial acumen  Risk taking ability  Strong leadership skills, ability to convince the stakeholders  Ability to prioritize tasks based on business requirements  Excellent MS Excel and PowerPoint skills  Good interpersonal and negotiation skills to build effective working relationships with stake holders Qualification Criteria  Engineering background is a must.  Added advantage for MBA from a good B school  Relevant experience of at least 5-6 years Note: This job description is not intended to be an all-inclusive list of duties and responsibilities.
