Job Description Position: Product Manager Mechanical - Residential Segment Location: Pune Department: Sales Support Reporting to: National Retail Head Yale & Project Sales Director & administratively to Plant Head Position Summary The position will be responsible for driving new product development Mechanical Hardware for Yale & ASSA ABLOY in the SAARC region. This would require gathering market intelligence, product benchmarking with competitors and ensuring a pipeline of new products to cater to the market needs across different segments and sales channels. Location: Pune/Bangalore/Ahmedabad/Delhi Department: Sales Specifications Reports to: Specification Director - SAARC Position Summary The position is responsible for leading and implementing pre-sales technical activities (detailed below) and tools to enable the Projects business. The position caters to the market/project needs, by interacting with ENOX distributors / partner, regional sales team and influencers such as Architects, Consultants, other Intermediaries and Specifiers, ensures that specifications are thorough, clear, and align with the company's strategic objectives and customer requirements. The position also acts as a subject matter expert for the project business on matters relating to glass hardware, sliding system, automatics, architectural hardware, etc. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of construction materials, systems, and standards and will serve as a key advisor throughout the project lifecycle. Roles and Responsibilities: 1. Specification Development: • Develop and manage project specifications for construction, engineering, and design projects, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and compliance with project requirements. • Collaborate with ENOX channel partners with their related project enquires, regional sales team, technical and spec team, architects, engineers, and project managers to align specifications with design intent, budget constraints and focus on solution selling. • Select and recommend appropriate solutions including products, budgetary quotes, standards, etc. to the target audience • Increase in the Specifications funnel made with complete range of products including mechanical, automatics, glass, sliders etc. • Ensure the submitted specifications are discussed and becomes part of the project tender for future sales generation. • Closely work and coordinate with the Sales team to ensure conversion of specifications into actual sales. 2. Key accounts: • Manage and actively engage with key account of assigned architects and consultant in collaboration with channel and regional sales team. • Maintain excellent working relationships with consultants to identify new projects and provide accurate, precise and timely information to consultants/architects. • Conduct regular lunch & learn and training events with Architects and Design firms on designs and solutions to drive brand awareness. • Provide timely support for specification on upcoming and existing projects. • Promote the adoption and use of the ASSA ABLOY Openings Studio plugin for 3D door and hardware virtual libraries, specifications, and transfer of project information. 3. Documentation and Reporting: • Ensure that all specification documents and enquiries are maintained, updated, and archived appropriately in Openings Studio and Microsoft CRM. • Provide regular updates to senior management about the team's progress, challenges, and successes. • Gather market intelligence and competition update; provide requisite feedback to the management 4. Stakeholder Communication: • Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders regarding product or project specifications. • Present and explain specifications to clients or stakeholders as necessary.
