Job Purpose:

To identify, evaluate, and recommend new products and accessories that complement the companys core rubber insulation offerings, with the objective of strengthening the product portfolio, enhancing customer value, and expanding market share.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Market Intelligence & Gap Identification:

  • Continuously monitor industry trends, customer requirements, and competitor product lines in insulation and allied segments (HVAC, construction, industrial applications).
  • Identify gaps and opportunities for new products and accessories that can be introduced alongside or in support of the rubber insulation range.

2. Product & Accessory Conceptualization:

  • Propose viable new product ideas—both insulation-related and complementary accessories such as tapes, adhesives, coatings, clamps, pre-formed fittings, fasteners, etc.
  • Develop detailed product briefs including features, applications, materials required, and target customer segments.

3. Feasibility & Business Case Development:

  • Conduct preliminary technical and commercial feasibility studies in coordination with R&D and production.
  • Prepare business cases for new products/accessories with cost estimates, projected pricing, demand forecast, and ROI.

4. Collaboration with Internal Teams:

  • Work closely with R&D for product trials, prototyping, and testing.
  • Liaise with the Sales & Marketing team for market feedback, product positioning, and launch strategy.
  • Coordinate with procurement and vendor development for sourcing accessory components, if outsourced.

5. Launch Readiness:

  • Define and oversee product introduction timelines.
  • Ensure readiness of marketing collateral, technical documentation, and training materials.
  • Support pilot launches or test marketing activities.

6. Portfolio Monitoring & Innovation Pipeline:

  • Maintain a structured product development pipeline with stage-wise updates.
  • Periodically review product performance post-launch and recommend improvements or variants.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical / Polymer / Chemical) or Applied Sciences. MBA in Marketing or Strategy is preferred.
  • 6–10 years of experience in product development or technical marketing in the building materials or insulation industry.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Deep understanding of insulation materials, accessories, and related product ecosystems.
  • Must be knowledgeable in Rubber and Plastic foams used in thermal, acoustics and packaging sectors.
  • Strong market analysis and trend-mapping capability.
  • Technical acumen to evaluate feasibility and production implications.
  • Excellent project management and cross-functional collaboration skills.
  • Commercial mindset with a focus on profitability and customer value.
