Procurement Officer

As a Procurement Officer at India's Leading Energy Company specializing in solar energy, you will play a crucial role in overseeing purchasing activities to ensure cost-efficiency and high-quality procurement. Your responsibilities will include supervising staff, maintaining positive supplier relations, evaluating supply options, approving purchases, and keeping accurate records. Your ability to create and maintain relationships with vendors, estimate budgets, make informed decisions, and negotiate contracts will be vital in driving the success of our solar installation company. Key Responsibilities: - Establish and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers. - Estimate and set budgets for purchases. - Make informed decisions in a dynamic work environment. - Review and assess vendors and suppliers. - Maintain precise purchase records and essential data. - Negotiate pricing and supply contracts effectively. - Develop procurement plans for services and supplies. - Ensure that all products and supplies meet quality standards. - Collaborate with team members to fulfill duties as required. - Update and manage a comprehensive list of suppliers. Preferred Qualifications: - High school diploma/GED; a degree in accounting, business management, or related field is advantageous. - Minimum of 2 years of experience as a procurement officer or in a similar role. - Proficiency in Microsoft Office and purchasing software. - Strong communication and negotiation abilities. - Excellent analytical and strategic thinking skills. - Previous supervisory and management experience. - Attention to detail and accuracy in all tasks.
