Procurement Lead

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or a related field
• 6-10 years' experience in procurement roles, preferably within R&D or technical domains

Roles and Responsibilities

• Drive innovation by ensuring the timely procurement of specialized and technical items for R&D projects.
• Align procurement processes with fast-paced R&D timelines and unique project specifications.
• Foster and maintain supplier partnerships for quality, reliability, and compliance with standards.
• Identify, assess, and onboard vendors to fulfill technical needs for prototypes, lab equipment, and services.
• Develop and implement sourcing strategies for R&D materials, focusing on cost-effectiveness and efficiency.
• Negotiate optimal terms with vendors regarding price, quality, and delivery schedules.
• Monitor vendor compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain thorough purchase documentation, records, and audit trails.
• Track procurement metrics such as cost savings, supplier performance, and order turnaround to ensure continuous improvement.
• Support efficient inventory management to reduce the risk of stock-outs or overstocking.
• Conduct market research to stay abreast of new technologies, sourcing trends, and industry benchmarks.
