Job Description

Role Overview: As a Procurement Officer, your primary responsibility will be to efficiently manage the procurement operations of the organization. This includes identifying suitable suppliers and vendors for goods, materials, and services. You will be required to issue RFQs, RFPs, or RFIs and evaluate the received quotations or proposals based on various criteria such as cost, quality, and delivery timelines. Your role will also involve preparing price comparative statements and assisting in Purchase Committee meetings. Key Responsibilities: - Efficiently manage procurement operations by identifying suitable suppliers and vendors for goods, materials, and services. - Issue RFQs, RFPs, or RFIs and evaluate received quotations or proposals based on criteria such as cost, quality, and delivery timelines. - Prepare price comparative statements and assist in Purchase Committee meetings. - Build and nurture strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and performance. - Regularly evaluate supplier performance in terms of quality, cost, and delivery. - Identify alternative suppliers to mitigate risks and maintain supply chain continuity. - Collaborate with internal teams to understand procurement needs and forecast demand. - Monitor inventory levels to prevent shortages or overstocking and ensure timely delivery of materials and services. - Maintain accurate procurement records including contracts, invoices, and delivery documentation. - Generate reports on procurement activities, cost savings, and supplier performance. - Support audits and reviews by adhering to proper documentation and compliance standards. - Communicate effectively with other departments to comprehend procurement needs and constraints. Qualifications Required: - Proven experience as a Procurement Officer or relevant role. - Strong understanding of procurement processes, supply chain management, and vendor management. - Excellent communication and negotiation skills. - Ability to work effectively in a team and collaborate with internal departments. - Meticulous attention to detail and strong analytical skills. - Proficiency in maintaining accurate procurement records and generating reports. - Knowledge of procurement regulations, policies, and ethical standards. - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or related field.,
