Business Title: Process Chemist

Reporting to: Assistant Manager (Quality Control)

Role Purpose Statement: This role ensures comprehensive quality control and compliance for all raw materials and finished products, upholding stringent industry standards. It also provides critical analytical support for plant operations, trials, and maintains a safe, well-equipped laboratory environment.

Main Accountabilities:

 Sampling & IQC Check of crude /refined/expeller oil received at Plant

 To maintain the process lab as per FSSC-22000 standards

 To check the process parameters of vanaspati and chemical refinery as per Bunge standards

 To prepare the shift Analysis report , Daily MIS i.e shift log book,

 Give Analytical test support in Plant Trials / Process modification

 Sampling & QC Check of other Raw Material /Packaging Material received at Plant.

 Analysis of incoming Crude / refined Oil as per BIPL Norms.

 5-S Management in Lab

 Conduct GMP Audits in plant & internal audits in plant as per standard requirements

 Ensure calibration of Lab equipment's as per time line ( internal & external )

 Hand experience on Lab Equipment's Gas chromatography, Spectrophotometer , Refractometer , NMR minispec , Tintometer etc.,

 Food safety, ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, Quality system standards including GMPs, GHPs, HACCP, .

 Accident /incident reporting, safety training etc. Provide support to organization to meet SHE target."

Knowledge and Skills:

1. SAP Knowledge in Edible oil industry.

2. Safety & food Safety in Organization.

Education & Experience:

1. Education M.Sc (Chemistry/ Ind Chem.,BTech Oil Technologist),

2. Minimum Work Experience 4-6 years of relevant experience ,

Technical Knowledge : Knowledge of lab analysis of all kind of Edible Oils. Standard requirements and parameters for quality checking, and packaging material etc. Proper knowledge about the use of various all standard laboratory equipment and apparatus used. Knowledge about statutory compliance related to FSSAI/W&M.
