Role Overview:

Java Backend Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable backend applications using

  Java Spring Boot

  and

  RESTful APIs

• Architect and implement

  microservices

  with a strong focus on performance, scalability, and maintainability
• Manage cloud infrastructure and deployments using

  AWS

  services like EC2, S3, Lambda, ECS, RDS, etc.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams including frontend, DevOps, QA, and Product
• Apply best practices in software development: unit testing, CI/CD pipelines, and code reviews
• Identify and fix performance bottlenecks and optimize services for maximum efficiency
• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code
• Mentor junior engineers and contribute to improving development processes

Required Skills:

• 5-8 years of hands-on backend development experience in

  Java

• Strong expertise in

  Spring Boot

  , Spring MVC, Spring Data, and JPA
• Solid understanding and practical experience with

  Microservices architecture

• Experience working with

  RESTful APIs

  and JSON/XML data formats
• Proficiency in

  AWS Cloud Services

  (EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, API Gateway, CloudWatch, etc.)
• Experience with messaging queues (Kafka, RabbitMQ, or similar)
• Knowledge of containerization and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes is a plus)
• Familiarity with Git, Jenkins, Maven/Gradle, and CI/CD pipelines
• Strong problem-solving and debugging skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• AWS certification (Developer Associate or Architect Associate)
• Experience with monitoring/logging tools (ELK, Prometheus, Grafana)
• Exposure to Agile/Scrum development methodologies
• Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in Computer Science or related field
