Principal Architect / Design Head

The Principal Architect / Design Head will:

• Own the

  design vision, language and quality

  of all spiritual spaces we create.
• Lead a team of 2D/3D designers to deliver

  concept-to-execution

  design packages.
• Work closely with the founders, sales, production and site teams to ensure every design is

  buildable in marble

  , emotionally powerful, and on-time.
• Build a

  design department

  – systems, standards, training and culture.
• This is a

  senior leadership role

  for someone who wants to shape a category, not just do another job.

1. Design Leadership & Vision

• Define and evolve the

  design language

  for temples, pooja rooms and spiritual spaces.
• Lead

  concept design

  for key/high-value projects (India + International).
• Translate client briefs, rituals, and spiritual preferences into

  clear spatial concepts

  .
• Create and approve:
• Concept layouts, elevations and sections
• Detailed drawings for marble, inlay, jali, moulding, lighting, storage
• Material palettes and moodboards

2. Technical Excellence & Feasibility

• Ensure all designs are

  technically sound and buildable

  in marble.
• Review and approve:
• 2D CAD drawings (plans, sections, details)
• 3D views and renders
• BOQs + basic feasibility with production constraints
• Coordinate with production and site teams to solve

  clashes, joinery, and fixing details

  before production.

3. Team Management & Development

• Build, lead, and mentor a team of designers (2D, 3D, interns).
• Allocate projects, review work, and maintain

  design timelines

  .
• Conduct weekly:

• Design Reviews

  – critique and improve ongoing work.

• Learning Sessions

  – share case studies, material knowledge, spiritual context.
• Identify and groom

  second-line leaders

  within the design team.

4. Systems, Standards & Innovation

• Create and maintain:
• Standard drawing templates and title blocks
• Detail libraries (plinths, steps, panels, jalis, motifs, storage)
• Design SOPs – from brief to GFC issuance
• Lead R&D for

  new spiritual design concepts, collections and product lines

  .
• Collaborate with marketing to convert design stories into

  strong visual content

  .

5. Cross-Functional Collaboration

• Work with Sales – pre-sales concept inputs, help win key pitches.
• Work with Production – CNC feasibility, material selection, inlay detailing.
• Work with Site Teams – alignment on installation details, sequencing and tolerance.

Technical:

• Strong in

  AutoCAD

  (must) and at least one of: SketchUp / 3DS Max / Revit / Rhino.
• Familiar with rendering tools (V-Ray / Lumion / Enscape).
• Clear understanding of:
• Joinery, thicknesses, supports, services (lighting, electrical)
• Detail drawings and execution-level design

• Deep

• Strong client communication – can handle HNI/International clients.
• Ability to

  lead, mentor and inspire

  a design team.
