Job Description:

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Pricing Analyst to join our team and drive accurate, competitive pricing for our frozen food products. This role involves assessing and calculating product costs based on raw materials, packaging, conversion costs, and other associated expenses. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of cost analysis, food industry standards, and market trends, enabling them to develop competitive pricing strategies that align with our business goals.

Key Responsibilities:

• Cost Analysis and Pricing Development:
• Calculate product costs by analysing the expenses associated with raw materials, packaging, conversion, and other production elements.
• Develop and maintain accurate pricing models that reflect the true cost of goods sold (COGS).
• Continuously monitor and adjust pricing models in response to fluctuations in raw material and production costs.
• Market Research and Competitor Analysis:
• Conduct regular market research to understand current pricing trends, competitor pricing strategies, and customer expectations.
• Provide insights and recommendations to ensure pricing strategies remain competitive while maintaining profitability.
• Collaboration with Cross-Functional Teams:
• Work closely with procurement, production, finance, and sales teams to gather up-to-date data on raw material costs, packaging expenses, labour rates, and operational overhead.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure pricing aligns with brand positioning and customer value perception.
• Data Analysis and Reporting:
• Utilize data analytics tools to assess pricing performance and identify areas for improvement.
• Prepare detailed pricing reports and presentations for management, highlighting trends, cost drivers, and potential price adjustments.
• Pricing Strategy and Optimization:
• Develop strategic pricing structures for new and existing frozen food products, considering cost inputs, desired profit margins, and competitive positioning.
• Recommend periodic price adjustments based on shifts in input costs, inflation, or changes in the competitive landscape.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Finance, or a related field; a background in Food Science, Supply Chain Management, or similar is a plus.
• 3+ years of experience in pricing analysis, cost estimation, or a related role in the food industry.
• Proficiency in financial modelling and data analysis tools (e.g., Excel, ERP).
• Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and a solid understanding of cost structures in food production.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work across departments.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet tight deadlines in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills:

• Knowledge of frozen food industry trends, including seasonal variations in raw material availability and costs.
• Familiarity with ERP systems and data analytics platforms.
• Experience with international pricing, trade compliance, and tariff impacts on raw material costs is a plus.
