Pre-Sales Engineer

Key Responsibilities:

Pre-Sales & Solution Consulting

  • Lead end-to-end

    pre-sales lifecycle

    from requirement discovery, proposal development, solutioning and client presentations.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (Sales, Delivery, Solution, Data Science) to craft tailored solutions leveraging

    AI/ML, Data Engineering, BI, Cloud

    and

    Industry 4.0

    technologies.
  • Translate client pain points into

    value propositions, solution blueprints and technical architectures

    .

Industry-Focused Solutioning

  • Create

    industry-specific use cases

    and

    demos

    aligned with domain challenges in:
    • Manufacturing

      (OEE, Predictive Maintenance, Quality Analytics, Digital Twin)
    • Supply Chain

      (Demand Forecasting, Inventory Optimization, Logistics Analytics)
    • Retail & CPG

      (Assortment Optimization, Customer Insights, Pricing and Promo Effectiveness)
    • Aviation

      (MRO Optimization, Delay Prediction, Parts Lifecycle Analytics)

Client Engagement & Enablement

  • Conduct

    client workshops, discovery sessions, PoCs

    , and technical deep dives to shape solution understanding and buy-in.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to clients and internal stakeholders on

    data and AI maturity journeys

    .

Proposals, RFPs, and Documentation

  • Own and contribute to

    proposals, SoWs, RFP/RFI responses

    and

    collateral creation

    (solution decks, value maps, case studies).
  • Ensure all deliverables meet quality, timeline, and alignment expectations.

Market and Technology Insights

  • Stay ahead of

    emerging trends in AI, GenAI, IoT, Digital Twin, LLMs, and cloud platforms

    (Azure, AWS, GCP).
  • Continuously gather

    competitive intelligence

    and

    benchmarking

    insights to strengthen solution offerings.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Engineering, Business, Data Science or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in

    pre-sales, solutioning or consulting roles

    with focus on

    Data & AI solutions

    .
  • Deep understanding of

    data architectures

    ,

    AI/ML workflows

    and

    business intelligence platforms

    .
  • Exposure to

    industry processes, KPIs and digital transformation use cases

    in Manufacturing, Retail/CPG, and Supply Chain.
  • Proficient in tools such as

    Power BI/Tableau, Azure/AWS, Python/SQL

    , and knowledge of

    ML lifecycle

    tools (MLflow, Databricks, SageMaker).

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience working with

    SAP, Oracle, Snowflake

    , and integrating with enterprise systems.
  • Understanding of

    IoT protocols (MQTT, OPC UA)

    and

    smart manufacturing practices

    .
  • Strong communication and storytelling skills – ability to

    influence CXOs and business/technical teams

    .
  • Agile, collaborative, and customer-first mindset.
