POSITION

Location - Bangalore

Reporting to: Senior Manager

Work Week: 5.5-day workweek, with 1st and 3rd Saturdays working

Role Summary

The Pre-Sales Executive will support growth by preparing competitive techno-commercial proposals, addressing customer enquiries, and enabling the sales team with accurate product and application support. The role focuses on solution design, ensuring feasibility through coordination with engineering, operations, and finance teams. It also enhances sales effectiveness by standardizing proposal tools, maintaining documentation and CRM accuracy, and contributing to bid strategy through market and competitor insights.

Key Responsibilities

  • Evaluate customer enquiries, specifications, and applications; recommend suitable hydraulic products and solutions.
  • Prepare accurate techno-commercial proposals, quotations, costings, and tender responses in line with pricing and approval guidelines.
  • Coordinate with engineering/CFT team for product selection, customization requirements, Value engineering, and technical clarifications.
  • Support sales teams with solution presentations, product comparisons, proposal content, and customer query resolution.
  • Work with supply chain and operations to validate lead times, availability, and execution feasibility for submitted proposals.
  • Maintain proposal templates, datasheets, and internal configuration/costing tools for faster turnaround.
  • Track competitor offerings, pricing trends, and market movements to strengthen proposal positioning.
  • Support contract review, order booking, marketing collaterals, and documentation as per company policies and compliance requirements.
  • Manage CRM updates for enquiries, quotes, and win/loss outcomes.
  • Support remote demos, customer training, and partner enablement activities in coordination with application engineers.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor degree in Mechanical/Industrial Engineering (or equivalent). MBA in Sales and Marketing preferred.
  • 2 - 3 years of experience in Pre-sales/ Business Development
  • Strong understanding of industrial applications and product recommendation. Knowledge of hydraulic systems is an advantage.
