Job Description for Pre-Sales Engineer

A Pre-Sales Engineer serves as the technical bridge between sales teams and prospective clients,

combining deep technical expertise with customer-facing skills to demonstrate product value and

address complex technical requirements during the sales process. This role directly impacts revenue

growth by improving deal conversion through technical credibility and solution fit validation.​

Key Responsibilities

 Lead technical sales activities: Conduct technical discovery sessions, requirements gathering,

and solution scoping with prospective customers.

 Deliver product demonstrations: Present compelling technical demos tailored to specific

prospect use cases and requirements.

 Design custom solutions: Create technical proposals, solution architectures, and

implementation roadmaps for prospect environments.

 Support RFP responses: Collaborate on technical sections of proposals, providing detailed

technical specifications and implementation approaches.

 Conduct proofs of concepts: Plan, execute, and present proof-of-concept demonstrations to

validate solution fit for prospect requirements.

 Provide technical consultation: Serve as trusted technical advisor, addressing complex

technical questions and integration challenges.

 Competitive positioning: Maintain deep knowledge of competitive landscape and position

solutions against alternatives.

 Sales process support: Participate in sales calls, customer meetings, and technical

evaluations throughout the sales cycle.

 Cross-team collaboration: Work with product and engineering teams to communicate

customer requirements and influence product direction.

 Documentation and knowledge sharing: Create technical content, case studies, and best

practices for sales efforts.​

Requirements

 Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or related technical field

 8-10 years experience in technical sales, solutions engineering, or customer-facing technical

roles

 Strong presentation and communication skills

 Experience with enterprise software solutions, system integrations, or technical product

demonstrations

 Understanding of enterprise technology architectures, APIs, and integration patterns

 CRM and sales process management experience

 Ability to travel for customer meetings and events

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹400,000.00 - ₹700,000.00 per month

Work Location: In person
