About The Opportunity

A fast-growing organisation in the K-12 and early childhood education sector, focused on delivering developmentally appropriate, play-based learning and school-readiness programmes across India. We operate on-site pre-primary centres that prioritise holistic child development—social, emotional, cognitive and motor skills—through structured routines and creative pedagogy. We are hiring an experienced Preschool Teacher to join our in-person teaching teams.

India (On-site)Role & Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver engaging, age-appropriate pre-primary lessons using play-based methods to build early literacy, numeracy, motor and socio-emotional skills.
  • Implement phonics, storytelling, songs, art and sensory activities that support language development and school-readiness.
  • Observe, document and assess children's developmental milestones; maintain progress records and communicate growth and areas for improvement to parents.
  • Establish and maintain a safe, inclusive and structured classroom routine; apply positive behaviour guidance and classroom management practices.
  • Prepare and maintain learning materials, classroom displays and a hygienic learning environment; follow child-safety and first-aid protocols.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers, curriculum coordinators and caregivers to align teaching strategies and support transitions into primary school.

Skills & Qualifications

Must-Have

  • Diploma or Certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE) / Nursery Teacher Training (NTT) or equivalent recognised qualification.
  • Demonstrable experience teaching pre-primary/preschool children in an on-site classroom setting.
  • Practical knowledge of play-based learning, early years curriculum frameworks and phonics instruction.
  • Ability to observe and assess child development and adapt activities to meet varied learning needs.
  • Valid first-aid or child-safety training (or readiness to obtain upon joining).
  • Proficiency in English and the regional/local language to engage effectively with children and parents.

Preferred

  • Montessori or other early years pedagogical certification.
  • B.Ed (Pre-Primary) or degree in Early Childhood Development.
  • Experience using digital learning aids and classroom technology for early years instruction.
