PPAP & Quality Documentation Executive

Job Summary:

Responsible for preparing, reviewing, and maintaining all PPAP (Production Part Approval Process) and quality documentation as per Caterpillar, Komatsu, and other OEM customer standards. The role ensures timely submission of documentation packages, alignment with customer requirements, and coordination with internal departments for data collection and validation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and compile PPAP documentation (Levels 1–5) including:
• Process Flow Diagram (PFD)
• PFMEA / DFMEA
• Control Plan
• Dimensional and Material Test Reports
• Process Capability Studies (Cp, Cpk)
• MSA Studies
• Part Submission Warrant (PSW)
• Prepare and maintain Customer Specific Documentation as per Caterpillar and Komatsu standards (e.g., Supplier PPAP templates, G8D, FAIR, IMDS, Certificates).
• Coordinate with Production, Quality, and Design teams for gathering inspection reports, test results, and process validation records.
• Manage drawing revisions and ensure all documents are aligned with current revisions and customer specifications.
• Maintain proper documentation control and records in both digital and physical formats for audit readiness.
• Support customer audits and respond to document-related queries or clarifications.
• Work closely with supplier quality engineers and internal teams to close open points raised by customers.
• Assist in preparing APQP documentation for new part developments and engineering changes.
• Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 / IATF 16949 quality management system requirements.

Required Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of PPAP & APQP documentation process.
• Familiar with Caterpillar and Komatsu customer portals and documentation formats.
• Basic understanding of quality tools – FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, 8D, etc.
• Proficient in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and document control practices.
• Attention to detail, good communication, and coordination skills.
• Ability to handle multiple project submissions simultaneously with accuracy.

Qualification & Experience:

• Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical or Production Engineering (preferred).
• 1-3 years of experience in PPAP / Quality Documentation roles in a manufacturing or sheet metal fabrication industry.
• Experience with Caterpillar, Komatsu, or other heavy equipment OEM customers is mandatory/preferred.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
