CMM Inspector

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Inspector to perform dimensional inspections using both Bridge-Type Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and Arm-Type Portable CMMs. The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of inspection tools, interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, and contribute to maintaining high-quality standards in a manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate Bridge-Type CMMs (e.g., Mitutoyo, Zeiss, Hexagon) and Arm-Type CMMs (e.g., Faro Arm, Hexagon ARm).
• Use CMM software such as PC-DMIS, or CAM2 to perform automated and manual inspections.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
• Inspect incoming, in-process, and final parts to ensure compliance with design specifications.
• Create and modify inspection programs for CMM machines.
• Generate detailed inspection reports and document non-conformances.
• Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment.
• Collaborate with Quality Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to resolve quality issues.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or certification in metrology, machining, or engineering preferred.
• Minimum 2-5 years of experience operating Bridge and Arm-Type CMMs in a manufacturing Industry
• Strong knowledge of CMM programming and GD&T.
• Proficient with measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc.
• Experience with inspection documentation, including FAIRs and PPAPs, is a plus.
• Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team.

Preferred Skills:

• Familiarity with industry standards (AS9102, ISO 9001, ASME Y14.5).
• Experience working with 3D CAD models (e.g., CATIA, SolidWorks).
• Understanding of manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, Sheet metal fabrication

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹8,086.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
