Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CMM Inspector to perform dimensional inspections using both Bridge-Type Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMMs) and Arm-Type Portable CMMs . The ideal candidate will have experience with a variety of inspection tools, interpret engineering drawings and GD&T, and contribute to maintaining high-quality standards in a manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate Bridge-Type CMMs (e.g., Mitutoyo, Zeiss, Hexagon) and Arm-Type CMMs (e.g., Faro Arm, Hexagon ARm). Use CMM software such as PC-DMIS , or CAM2 to perform automated and manual inspections. Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications, including Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T) . Inspect incoming, in-process, and final parts to ensure compliance with design specifications. Create and modify inspection programs for CMM machines. Generate detailed inspection reports and document non-conformances. Calibrate and maintain inspection equipment. Collaborate with Quality Engineers and Manufacturing personnel to resolve quality issues. Maintain a clean and organized work area and follow safety protocols. Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required; technical diploma or certification in metrology, machining, or engineering preferred. Minimum 2-5 years of experience operating Bridge and Arm-Type CMMs in a manufacturing Industry Strong knowledge of CMM programming and GD&T . Proficient with measurement tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges, etc. Experience with inspection documentation, including FAIRs and PPAPs, is a plus. Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Preferred Skills: Familiarity with industry standards (AS9102, ISO 9001, ASME Y14.5).
