Power BI Developer

to support the expansion of reporting and analytics initiatives. The role involves working on new projects, enhancing existing applications, and supporting deployed solutions in production. The ideal candidate should have strong expertise in

Power BI, SQL, data modeling, and Azure integration

to deliver impactful dashboards and insights.

Scope of Work

As a Power BI Developer, You Will

• Translate business needs into actionable Power BI solutions that deliver timely, reliable insights to stakeholders.
• Design and implement optimized data models and DAX measures to ensure accuracy and high performance.
• Build and deploy interactive dashboards and reports that improve decision-making and reduce time-to-insight.
• Transform and integrate data using Power Query, SQL, and Azure services to maintain data quality and governance.
• Collaborate with architects and technical leads to enforce standards, CI/CD, and scalable solutions.
• Maintain production solutions: monitor performance, troubleshoot issues, and deliver enhancements to ensure reliability.
• Document requirements, technical designs, and test artifacts to enable clear handover and knowledge transfer.
  

Skills / Experience Required

• Dashboard & Report Development – Expertise in building interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI Desktop and Service.
• Advanced DAX & Data Modeling – Strong knowledge of DAX measures, calculated columns, and building optimized data models.
• SQL Expertise – Ability to write and optimize complex queries for reporting.
• Power Query (M Language) – Proficiency in data transformation and cleansing.
• Import Mode & Direct Query – Hands-on experience with hybrid models and performance tuning.
• Power BI DevOps Integration – Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps.
• Version Control & Deployment Pipelines – Experience with Git and managing Dev/Test/Prod environments.
• Database & Data Lake Integration – Exposure to SQL Server, Azure SQL, and Azure Data Lake (Gen2).
• Power BI Service – Strong experience with workspaces, datasets, and dataflows.
• Performance Optimization – Skilled in using tools like Performance Analyzer and Query Diagnostics.
• Security Implementation – Experience implementing Row-Level Security (RLS) and Object-Level Security (OLS).
