Job Description

Job Title:

PMU In-Charge – Ranchi

Location:

Ranchi, Jharkhand

Educational Qualification:

  • B.E./B.Tech in Computer Science, Information Technology, or Electronics
  • OR

  • MCA / MBA in Information Technology

Experience:

  • 3 to 7 years of relevant experience in project and team management, preferably HMS, HIMS Software Implementation in government or large-scale IT/e-Governance projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Project & Team Management:

  • Lead and manage the PMU team to ensure timely execution of project tasks and deliverables.
  • Client Coordination & Stakeholder Engagement:

  • Act as the key point of contact between the client (government departments/stakeholders) and project teams; ensure smooth communication and collaboration.
  • Technical Escalation & Issue Resolution:

  • Track, escalate, and coordinate resolution of technical issues in coordination with technical support teams and relevant vendors.
  • SOP & Documentation Preparation:

  • Develop and maintain Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), technical documents, training manuals, and progress reports.
  • Master Data Management & Mapping:

  • Oversee the accurate collection, validation, and integration of master data from multiple sources; ensure correct mapping in system databases.
  • Analytics & Reporting:

  • Analyze project data to generate regular dashboards, reports, and presentations for stakeholders; identify insights and areas for improvement.
  • Training & Mentoring:

  • Train department users and internal team members on processes and system usage; provide ongoing mentoring for junior staff.
  • SDLC Familiarity:

  • Work closely with development and QA teams by understanding and aligning with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) processes.

Key Skills Required:

  • Strong leadership and team management abilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven client-facing and stakeholder coordination experience
  • Problem-solving and issue-tracking capabilities
  • Proficient in MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
  • Knowledge of project management tools is an added advantage
  • Ability to handle pressure and multi-task effectively

Preferred:

  • Prior experience in managing state-level e-Governance projects
  • Understanding of government workflows and public service delivery systems
  • Certifications like PMP/PRINCE2 (optional but desirable)
