Job Description

Job Summary

The PMT Trainer is responsible for designing, developing, and delivering product and marketing training programs for field staff, product managers, and cross-functional teams. The role ensures that all commercial and field teams possess the required scientific knowledge, product understanding, and marketing skills to achieve business goals.

Key Responsibilities

1. Training Design & Delivery

Develop and conduct induction and refresher training programs for new product launches and existing brands.

Train field force and product management personnel on product knowledge, therapy areas, and marketing strategies.

Design interactive learning modules, presentations, and assessments aligned with PMT objectives.

Conduct periodic training need analysis (TNA) for the sales and marketing teams.

2. Content Development

Collaborate with medical, regulatory, and marketing teams to prepare scientifically accurate training content and visual aids.

Create and update training manuals, e-learning modules, and product monographs.

Ensure all promotional and training materials comply with company and regulatory standards.

3. Performance Monitoring

Assess trainee performance through tests, field feedback, and performance metrics.

Analyze training effectiveness and implement continuous improvement initiatives.

Support PMT in evaluating the impact of training on sales performance and brand growth.

4. Cross-functional Collaboration

Partner with sales, medical affairs, and marketing teams for alignment of training objectives.

Participate in new product development meetings to understand upcoming launches and prepare training strategies.

Support product managers in planning and executing marketing campaigns.

5. Continuous Learning

Stay updated on the latest developments in pharmaceutical therapies, market trends, and learning technologies.

Recommend innovations in training methodology (digital learning, gamification, LMS integration, etc.).

Qualifications & Experience

Education: B.Pharm / M.Pharm / B.Sc. (Life Sciences) with MBA in Marketing (preferred).

Experience: 38 years in Product Management or Sales Training within the pharmaceutical industry.

Skills Required:

Strong understanding of therapeutic areas and pharmaceutical marketing.

Excellent communication, presentation, and facilitation skills.

Proficiency in MS Office, LMS platforms, and e-learning tools.

Ability to translate complex scientific concepts into engaging learning material.
