Job Description :

A Plumbing Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for Overseeing the installation, repair, and maintenance of plumbing systems , managing a team of plumbers, ensuring safety and code compliance, and managing project resources. This role requires both technical expertise and strong leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Team Leadership and Supervision : Supervise, coordinate, and schedule the activities of plumbing teams. This includes assigning tasks, monitoring work progress, training new workers, and conducting performance reviews.
• Maintenance and Repairs : Oversee and participate in the installation, maintenance, and repair of pipes, fittings, fixtures, drainage systems, and related equipment like pumps, boilers, and water heaters.
• Planning and Scheduling : Plan and develop work and equipment usage schedules, prioritize maintenance tasks, and implement preventive maintenance programs to reduce breakdowns and extend asset life.
• Safety and Compliance : Ensure adherence to all company safety protocols, local plumbing codes, and regulations (such as OSHA standards). Conduct safety inspections and enforce safe work practices on the job site.
• Inventory and Budget Management : Estimate material and labor costs, monitor the acquisition and use of materials, manage inventory, and contribute to the preparation and monitoring of the department's budget.
• Troubleshooting and Problem Solving : Diagnose complex plumbing issues that technicians cannot resolve and implement corrective actions.
• Documentation and Reporting : Maintain accurate records of work orders, maintenance activities, time, payroll, and materials used. Prepare and submit reports on project status and expenses to management.
• Communication and Collaboration : Serve as a direct contact for clients, general contractors, and other trades (electricians, HVAC technicians, etc.) to ensure seamless project execution and customer satisfaction.

Essential Skills and Qualifications :

• Experience: Extensive proven experience as a plumber, typically 3-5 years, with at least 1-2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
• Technical Knowledge: In-depth knowledge of plumbing systems, tools, equipment, blueprints, and technical drawings.
• Leadership: Strong leadership, team management, and interpersonal skills to motivate and guide a team.
• Problem-Solving: Strong analytical and troubleshooting abilities to identify issues and resolve them efficiently.
• Organizational Skills: Excellent time management, planning, and organizational skills to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
• Certifications: A valid plumbing license or certification is often required. Certifications for specific tasks like backflow prevention testing or Freon recovery may also be necessary depending on the role.
• Physical Stamina: Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects, climbing ladders, and working in various indoor and outdoor environments.

Salary: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
