Job Description

1. Production & Operations Management

  • Plan, organize, and control yarn extrusion production schedules to meet tufting and sales requirements
  • Ensure optimal utilization of extrusion lines, mixers, chillers, winders, ovens, and godet systems
  • Achieve daily, monthly, and annual production targets with minimal downtime
  • Coordinate with tufting, backing, and QC teams to ensure smooth downstream operations

2. Yarn Quality & Process Control

  • Ensure consistent yarn parameters including dtex, denier, tensile strength, elongation, shape retention, UV stability, and color consistency
  • Control fibrillation, spine formation, and profile geometry for different turf applications (football, cricket, landscaping)
  • Monitor raw material blends (PE/PP, masterbatch, UV stabilizers) and mixing ratios
  • Implement SOPs, process control charts, and quality checkpoints at every stage

3. Raw Material & Inventory Management

  • Plan and control consumption of resins, masterbatch, additives, and packaging material
  • Reduce wastage, start-up losses, and rejections
  • Coordinate with procurement for vendor development and cost optimization

4. Maintenance & Engineering

  • Ensure preventive and breakdown maintenance of extrusion lines and utilities
  • Minimize machine downtime through root cause analysis and corrective action
  • Coordinate with machine OEMs and service providers for upgrades and troubleshooting
  • Maintain critical spares inventory

5. Safety, Compliance & Housekeeping

  • Enforce plant safety, PPE usage, and statutory compliance
  • Ensure compliance with pollution control norms, fire safety, and factory regulations
  • Maintain 5S, housekeeping, and safe work practices across the plant

6. Cost Control & Continuous Improvement

  • Control conversion cost per kg, power consumption, and manpower efficiency
  • Drive process optimization, yield improvement, and cost reduction initiatives
  • Implement Lean manufacturing / TPM practices where applicable

7. Team Leadership & HR Coordination

  • Lead, motivate, and develop shift supervisors, operators, and technicians
  • Plan manpower deployment, shifts, training, and skill development
  • Enforce discipline, productivity, and performance standards

8. MIS & Reporting

  • Prepare and submit daily production reports, downtime analysis, rejection reports, and power consumption data
  • Provide management with operational insights and improvement plans

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
