Position Title: Plant Head – Hydrogen Plant
Reporting To: Director / COO
Qualification: B. Tech – Chemical Engineering (or equivalent)
Experience: Minimum 20 years in Hydrogen Plant operations, with leadership exposure

Role Objective:

To lead and oversee the complete operations of the Hydrogen Plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective production and dispatch. The Plant Head will be responsible for overall plant performance, team leadership, safety compliance, customer satisfaction, and continuous process improvement.

Key Responsibilities:

• Plant Operations & Production
• Manage end-to-end operations of the Hydrogen Plant.
• Ensure uninterrupted production with focus on quality, yield, and dispatch schedules.
• Drive process optimization and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Safety & Compliance
• Enforce strict adherence to HSE (Health, Safety & Environment) standards.
• Lead risk management, hazard analysis, and emergency preparedness.
• Ensure compliance with statutory, regulatory, and industry standards.
• Team Leadership & Development
• Lead a multidisciplinary team across production, maintenance, quality, and logistics.
• Build a performance-driven culture with emphasis on team development and accountability.
• Mentor and groom second-line leaders to strengthen succession planning.
• Cross-functional Coordination
• Collaborate with Finance, HR, and Supply Chain for smooth plant functioning.
• Coordinate with Sales/Dispatch teams to ensure on-time customer delivery.
• Liaise with R&D/Technical team for process improvements and new technology adoption.
• Performance & Reporting
• Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for safety, productivity, quality, and cost.
• Prepare and present plant performance reports to senior management.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives (Lean, Kaizen, Six Sigma where applicable).

Candidate Requirements:

• B. Tech in Chemical Engineering (mandatory).
• Minimum 20 years of experience in Hydrogen Plant operations.
• Proven track record of handling senior leadership roles (independently or as No. 2 / No. 3 in organization).
• Strong knowledge of Hydrogen production processes, utilities, and dispatch operations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• High emphasis on safety management, operational excellence, and customer focus.
