Plant And Machinery Manager

Job Summary:

Plant

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Plan and manage mobilization, deployment, and demobilization of plant & machinery as per project requirements.
• Ensure availability and optimal utilization of construction equipment such as

  cranes, batching plants, hoists, excavators, loaders, pumps, and generators

  .
• Prepare equipment deployment plans aligned with project schedules and milestones.
• Oversee preventive and breakdown maintenance of all machinery.
• Maintain equipment service schedules, maintenance records, and logbooks.
• Coordinate with vendors, OEMs, and service providers for repairs and AMC.
• Monitor equipment operating costs, fuel consumption, and efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and statutory requirements for machinery operation.
• Conduct regular inspections to ensure equipment safety and fitness.
• Support procurement and hiring of plant & machinery, including technical evaluation.
• Coordinate with project managers, construction teams, and stores for smooth operations.
• Maintain documentation related to equipment insurance, permits, and certifications.

Education & Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree in

  Mechanical

  or

  Civil

  Engineering

  (Mandatory).
• Certification in equipment maintenance or fleet management will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum

  10-12 years

  of experience in plant & machinery management for construction projects.
• Experience in

  building,

  infrastructure,

  or

  EPC

  projects

  preferred.
• Hands-on experience with heavy construction equipment and maintenance practices.
• Working or having working experience in

  Building Construction Govt. Project/Private Project in EPC Mode like- Medical College, Sports University, Hospital etc.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  construction

  equipment

  and

  maintenance

  practices

• Experience in equipment planning, utilization, and cost control
• Understanding of safety norms and statutory requirements for machinery
• Ability to manage vendors, technicians, and operators
• Good documentation, reporting, and coordination skills
• Proficiency in

  MS

  Excel

  and maintenance tracking systems

• Equipment availability and uptime
• Reduction in breakdowns and maintenance costs
• Compliance with safety and statutory requirements
• Effective utilization of plant & machinery
