Deputy Project Manager

Job Summary:

Deputy Project Manager/Construction Manager- Civil

Key Roles & Responsibilities:

• Assist the Project Manager in overall planning, execution, and control of civil construction works.
• Manage day-to-day site operations including structure, finishing, and external development works.
• Ensure execution as per approved drawings, specifications, BOQs, and construction schedules.
• Coordinate with architects, consultants, subcontractors, and vendors for smooth project execution.
• Monitor project progress, productivity, and resource utilization.
• Identify delays, risks, and bottlenecks and implement corrective actions.
• Ensure compliance with quality standards, safety norms, and statutory requirements.
• Review method statements, work procedures, and construction sequences.
• Supervise Site Engineers and ensure effective manpower deployment.
• Participate in project review meetings and prepare progress reports.
• Support billing, measurement verification, and variation management.
• Ensure timely closure of snags and support project handover activities.
• Plan, organize, and manage all civil construction activities including RCC, masonry, finishing, and external development works.
• Coordinate with QA/QC team for inspections, testing, and closure of NCRs.

Education & Qualification:

• Bachelors Degree in

  Civil

  Engineering

  (Mandatory).
• Post-graduate qualification will be an added advantage.

Experience:

• Minimum

  10 - 12

  years

  of experience in civil construction projects.
• Proven experience in

  residential, commercial, institutional, or infrastructure projects

  .
• Exposure to

  EPC

  /

  Design

  &

  Build

  projects

  preferred.
• Working or having working experience in

  Building Construction Govt. Project/Private Project in EPC Mode like- Medical College, Sports University, Hospital etc.

Key Skills & Competencies:

• Strong knowledge of

  civil construction, RCC, finishing works, and execution methodologies

• Proficiency in

  (basic),

  AutoCAD,

  MS

  Excel

• Sound understanding of

  quality

  control

  and

  safety

  management

  systems

• Strong coordination, leadership, and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple contractors and site teams
• Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities
