The role and job title of Physician Assistant (also sometimes referred to as Physician Associate) is quite new in Australia. Its believed that there will be a growing number of these professionals integrated in the countrys healthcare system in the future. Physician Assistants are educated in medical schools, and work under the direction of (and in collaboration with) physicians.
