Job Description

Job Title: Post Graduate Teacher – Mathematics (CIE)

Department: Senior Secondary School
Reporting To: Head of Department / Academic Coordinator / Principal
Curriculum: Cambridge International Curriculum (IGCSE, AS & A Levels)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a qualified and dedicated Mathematics educator to teach students at the IGCSE and AS/A Level under the Cambridge International (CIE) curriculum. The ideal candidate should possess strong subject expertise, a passion for teaching, and the ability to create an engaging and student-focused learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:Academic Delivery:

  • Plan and deliver high-quality lessons in Mathematics, including Pure Mathematics, Statistics, and Mechanics as per the CIE syllabus.
  • Foster conceptual understanding through problem-solving, application-based learning, and differentiated instruction.
  • Use a variety of teaching methodologies and digital tools to accommodate diverse learning styles.

Curriculum Planning:

  • Develop unit plans, lesson plans, teaching aids, and learning resources aligned with CIE learning outcomes.
  • Collaborate in designing academic calendars, assessment plans, and enrichment activities.

Assessment & Evaluation:

  • Create and evaluate assessments aligned with Cambridge standards (formative, summative, and mock exams).
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to students and maintain accurate records of academic progress.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for external board examinations.

Student Engagement & Support:

  • Support and guide students at varying proficiency levels to achieve their academic goals.
  • Encourage participation in Math Olympiads, quizzes, and project-based learning.
  • Provide academic counseling and mentoring where required.

Professional Contribution:

  • Stay updated with the latest developments in the Cambridge curriculum and international education practices.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, professional development programs, and school events.
  • Collaborate with peers for cross-disciplinary projects and continuous improvement initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:

  • Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.A.) in Mathematics or Applied Mathematics.
  • B.Ed. or equivalent professional teaching qualification (preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of experience teaching Mathematics in a Cambridge IGCSE and A-Level setup.
  • Sound knowledge of Cambridge assessment objectives and marking schemes.

Skills & Attributes:

  • Strong command over Mathematics concepts (Pure Math, Statistics, Mechanics).
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Proficient in integrating technology into teaching and learning.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹75,000.00 per month
