Job Title: TGT Physics Teacher Reporting to: Academic Coordinator / Principal Location: [Insert School Name & Location] Curriculum: CBSE / ICSE / IGCSE Job Purpose: To facilitate the teaching and learning of Physics in middle and secondary grades , promoting scientific inquiry, critical thinking, and practical understanding through engaging lessons, activities, and experiments. Key Responsibilities: Teach Physics to students as per the prescribed curriculum. Prepare and deliver engaging lesson plans that cater to the varied learning needs of students. Incorporate lab experiments, demonstrations, and visual aids to enhance conceptual understanding. Maintain records of student progress , assessments, and reports in a timely and organized manner. Design and conduct formative and summative assessments ; evaluate students fairly. Use appropriate teaching strategies and digital tools to create an interactive classroom environment. Encourage student participation in science fairs, Olympiads, and competitions . Collaborate with peers for interdisciplinary teaching , special events, and curriculum planning. Attend department meetings, parent-teacher meetings , and school events as required. Maintain discipline and decorum in the classroom and contribute to overall student well-being. Be open to ongoing professional development and participate in training programs or workshops. Qualifications and Skills: Education: B.Sc. (Physics) + B.Ed. is mandatory. M.Sc. in Physics is an advantage. Experience: 2–5 years of teaching Physics at middle or high school level preferred. Strong communication skills in English (spoken and written). Sound knowledge of pedagogical practices and subject content. Ability to handle lab equipment and conduct safe experiments. Proficiency with technology-enabled teaching tools (smart boards, simulations, Google Classroom, etc.). Preferred Attributes: Passion for science and inquiry-based learning. Positive attitude, adaptability, and teamwork. Classroom management and student engagement skills. Willingness to contribute to co-curricular activities and school development.
