PGT Mathematics

Job Summary:

We are looking for a dedicated, dynamic, and well-qualified Post Graduate Teacher (PGT) in Mathematics to join our Higher Secondary academic team. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching Classes 11 and 12, handling both CBSE and Tamil Nadu Matriculation syllabi. The ideal educator should demonstrate strong subject command, effective teaching strategies, and a proven track record in preparing students for board and competitive exams. A student-centered approach and the ability to manage a classroom efficiently are essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

Subject Teaching:

• Deliver comprehensive and engaging Mathematics lessons for Classes 11 and 12, aligned with CBSE and State Board (Matric) guidelines.
• Employ innovative teaching methodologies, including activity-based learning, concept visualization, and real-life application of mathematics.
• Utilize smart classroom tools and technology wherever applicable to enhance learning outcomes.

Academic Planning:

• Develop detailed annual, monthly, and weekly lesson plans to ensure syllabus coverage within timelines.
• Design effective teaching materials, including practice sheets, model papers, presentations, and learning aids.
• Maintain accurate academic records, progress reports, and attendance registers.

Assessment & Evaluation:

• Conduct regular formative and summative assessments, including unit tests, model exams, and pre-board exams.
• Review and evaluate students' performance, provide timely and constructive feedback.
• Assist students with strategies for effective board exam preparation, including revision planning, mock tests, and previous year paper discussions.

Student Mentorship:

• Identify and support students who need academic reinforcement or personal guidance.
• Motivate students to participate in Math Olympiads, competitive exams (JEE, CUET, etc.), and other enrichment programs.
• Act as a mentor and guide, addressing both academic and emotional needs of students.

Administrative Participation:

• Collaborate with the academic team to enhance curriculum delivery and school standards.
• Attend staff meetings, contribute to workshops, and engage in ongoing professional development.
• Participate actively in school events, celebrations, PTMs (Parent-Teacher Meetings), and school inspections.

Discipline & Conduct:

• Maintain a positive and disciplined classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Act as a role model for students, demonstrating professionalism, punctuality, and ethical behavior.
• Enforce school policies and ensure a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment.
