Performance Testing Specialist

Job Description:

As a Performance Testing Specialist, he will be responsible for benchmarking and analysing the performance of our mobile messenger applications, which include chat, voice, and video calling features, as well as other web applications. He will collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify performance bottlenecks and ensure that our applications meet the highest standards of performance and scalability, across environments. Should be able to travel across India to conduct the performance investigations on the real-time systems.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, implement, and execute performance testing strategies for mobile and web applications
• Conduct load, stress, and endurance testing to benchmark performance metrics
• Analyze performance test results, identify bottlenecks, and provide actionable insights and recommendations for optimization
• Collaborate with development, QA, and DevOps teams to integrate performance testing into the CI/CD pipeline
• Develop and maintain performance testing scripts and scenarios using tools like JMeter, LoadRunner, or similar
• Monitor application performance in real-time during testing and production environments
• Prepare detailed reports and presentations on performance test findings for stakeholders
• Stay updated with the latest trends and tools in performance testing and benchmarking

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in performance testing of mobile applications, especially those with chat, voice, and video functionalities
• Proficiency in performance testing tools such as JMeter, LoadRunner or similar
• Strong understanding of networking protocols, especially those related to messaging and VoIP (e.g., XMPP, SIP, WebRTC)
• Experience with scripting languages (e.g., Python, Java) for automation and test script development
• Familiarity with monitoring tools (e.g., Grafana, New Relic) for real-time performance tracking
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication skills to present findings and collaborate effectively with teams
