Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership and Management:

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of process engineers.
Provide guidance, training, and performance feedback to team members.
Foster a collaborative and productive work environment.
Conduct performance evaluations and identify areas for professional development.

Process Design and Optimization:

Design, develop, and optimize chemical manufacturing processes.
Conduct feasibility studies and process simulations.
Select and specify equipment and instrumentation for chemical production facilities.
Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for chemical production.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues that arise during chemical manufacturing processes.

Safety and Compliance:

Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental, health, and safety (EHS) regulations.
Develop and implement safety procedures for individuals working with dangerous chemicals.
Conduct risk assessments and process simulations.
Ensure processes are designed to minimize waste and environmental impact.

Collaboration and Communication:

Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, production, quality assurance, and maintenance.
Communicate effectively with all stakeholders, including senior management, team members, and external vendors.
Prepare detailed reports and presentations on process performance and improvements.

Process Improvement and Innovation:

Identify opportunities for process improvement and cost reduction.
Implement best practices in process engineering, such as Six Sigma and Lean Manufacturing.
Stay up-to-date on the latest advancements in chemical engineering and process optimization.
Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency, quality, and safety.

Project Management:

Manage project timelines and budgets for process engineering projects.
Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.
Monitor and track project progress and performance.
