Job Summary:

Payroll & Compliance professional with a strong finance background

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll Management (Finance-Driven):

  • Process end-to-end payroll for

    2,000 - 5,000+ contract employees

    on a monthly/multi-frequency basis.
  • Validate attendance, overtime, shift allowances, and deductions with strong financial accuracy.
  • Reconcile payroll registers with finance ledgers and bank statements.
  • Coordinate with finance teams to ensure timely salary disbursement, fund transfers, and audits.
  • Ensure proper taxation (TDS, Professional Tax) and year-end financial reconciliations.

Compliance & Statutory:

  • Handle all statutory compliances:

    PF, ESI, PT, LWF, Gratuity, Bonus Act

    etc.
  • File returns and ensure remittances are done within stipulated timelines.
  • Maintain compliance dashboards and prepare data for internal & client audits.

Financial Controls & Reporting:

  • Prepare

    monthly payroll MIS, variance reports, cost analysis, and reconciliation statements.

  • Support budgeting, cost optimization, and financial planning for staffing payroll.
  • Partner with auditors to ensure 100% accuracy in payroll and compliance records.

Vendor & Client Coordination:

  • Coordinate with external payroll vendors and statutory consultants.
  • Work with client SPOCs for attendance, invoicing, and payroll-related queries.
  • Manage background verification, insurance, and payroll outsourcing vendors.

Employee Query Management:

  • Act as the

    first point of contact

    for payroll-related queries.

Key Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong knowledge of

    Finance-driven payroll & compliance

  • Deep understanding of

    Indian labor laws & statutory norms

  • Hands-on experience in

    General Staffing payroll (blue/grey collar workforce)

  • Excellent analytical, reconciliation, and financial reporting skills
  • Proficiency in

    Payroll Software, HRMS, Excel, and Compliance Portals

  • Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills

Qualification & Experience:

  • Graduate/Postgraduate in Commerce, Finance, HR, or related field

  • 3 -7 years

    of experience in

    Payroll & Compliance within staffing/manpower industry

  • Preferred: Experience in handling

    large-scale workforce payroll

    (2,000+ employees)
