Job Description

Job Summary

The Payroll Executive will be responsible for accurate and timely processing of monthly payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS), and maintaining proper payroll records. The role involves handling employee queries, coordinating with HR & Finance teams, and supporting audits and compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities

1. Payroll Processing

  • Collect, validate, and process employee attendance, leave records, and overtime data.
  • Prepare monthly payroll in ERP/HRMS system, ensuring accuracy of salary, deductions, and reimbursements.
  • Generate salary slips and ensure timely disbursement of salaries.

2. Statutory Compliance

  • Calculate and process deductions for PF, ESIC, Professional Tax, and TDS.
  • Prepare and file statutory returns and challans on time.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and government regulations.

3. Employee Queries & Support

  • Address payroll-related queries (salary slips, deductions, tax, reimbursements).
  • Support employees with investment declaration and income tax-related queries.

4. Reconciliation & Reporting

  • Reconcile payroll accounts with finance for disbursements and statutory payments.
  • Prepare monthly payroll reports (salary register, headcount, CTC analysis).
  • Support internal and statutory audits with required payroll data.

5. HRMS & Documentation

  • Maintain employee records in HRMS/ERP.
  • Ensure proper documentation of salary revisions, full & final settlements, and new joiner details.

Preferred Skills

  • Strong knowledge of payroll processes and statutory compliance (PF, ESIC, PT, TDS).
  • Hands-on experience with Tally/HRMS/Payroll software.
  • Proficiency in MS Excel (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).
  • Good communication skills for handling employee queries.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Commerce, Accounting, Finance, or HR.
  • Certification in payroll/statutory compliance will be an advantage.

Experience

  • Minimum 1+ year of experience in payroll processing and statutory compliance.
  • Experience in end-to-end payroll cycle preferred.

Salary

  • Up to ₹25,000 per month (depending on experience and skills).

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
