Patent Drafting Executive

Role Overview:

The Patent Drafting Executive will be responsible for preparing, reviewing, and filing patent applications related to our cutting-edge drone technologies. The ideal candidate should have strong technical acumen, understanding of IP laws, and experience in drafting high-quality patent applications.

Key Responsibilities:

• Work closely with R&D teams to understand innovations and identify patentable subject matter.
• Draft patent specifications including claims, abstracts, and drawings for Indian and international filings.
• Conduct prior art searches and patentability analysis.
• Coordinate with external IP counsels for filing and prosecution processes.
• Maintain IP documentation, filing timelines, and legal compliance.
• Monitor competitor patents and identify potential infringement risks or patent opportunities.
• Assist in preparing technical responses to office actions and examination reports.
• Support in IP portfolio management and strategy development.

Required Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering (preferably Electronics, Aerospace, or Mechanical).

• 1–3 years of experience in patent drafting (experience in the UAV or electronics domain preferred).

• Familiarity with Indian Patent Act and international patent systems (USPTO, EPO, PCT).
• Strong technical writing and analytical skills.
• Proficient in tools used for prior art searches (e.g., Google Patents, Patentscope, Espacenet).
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines.

Preferred:

• Registered Patent Agent (India) is a plus.
• Experience working with startups or tech-driven companies.
• Interest in UAV and emerging technologies.
