Role & Responsibilities:

L1 – Patch Operations (2–4 Years)

• Monitor the status of patch and release deployments.
• Perform

  manual patch push

  in case of deployment failures.
• Import patch details into the

  Patch Management Server

  .
• Perform

  pre-checks

  before patch installation, including:
• System health validation
• Backup verification
• Support patching activities for

  Windows and Linux environments

  .
• Handle basic incident and request fulfilment related to patching.

L2 – Patch Release & Compliance (4–7 Years)

• Define and follow

  change management procedures

  for patch rollouts.
• Publish patches for releases into Patch Management tools.
• Push patches to servers or configure

  scheduled pull from OEMs

  .
• Perform

  patch testing, upgrades, and releases

  in customer-provided test environments prior to production rollout.
• Prepare

  Major Incident Reports (MIR)

  for patch-related incidents.
• Handle

  reinstallations raised due to incidents

  .
• Own

  incident, request fulfilment, and change management

  activities.
• Ensure compliance with vulnerability remediation and security baselines.
