Job Title: Logistics & Material Handling Engineer Department: Logistics / Operations Reporting To: Logistics/Operations Manager Job Purpose: To effectively manage and improve material handling operations, logistics innovation, preventive maintenance, and cost-saving initiatives, ensuring operational excellence, safety, and compliance. Key Roles & Responsibilities: Capital Budget Management Prepare manual reports for approval and raise Investment Requests (IR). Plan, execute, and ensure smooth implementation of capital budget activities. Revenue Budget Planning Identify critical shop floor activities and develop countermeasures. Collaborate with C&C and U&S teams for planning and execution of revenue budget tasks. Preventive Maintenance Ensure smooth daily operations of material handling equipment through AMC (Annual Maintenance Contract) management. Logistics Innovation Identify and implement logistics improvement projects focused on simplifying processes and reducing operator fatigue. Safety Initiatives Identify critical operations within material handling and initiate safety enhancements to prevent incidents. Scrap Management Manage disposal of unused assets effectively. Coordinate with the material purchase team for selling obsolete or unused equipment. Cost Saving Initiatives Drive cost improvements by identifying and implementing innovative cost-saving projects. EMS / OHSMS Compliance Review, update, and maintain documents related to Environment Management Systems (EMS) and Occupational Health & Safety Management Systems (OHSMS). Display Management and Enhancements Ensure appropriate displays are installed in key operational areas. Identify new requirements and replace damaged or outdated displays as necessary. Desired Candidate Profile: Qualification: Diploma / Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial Engineering, or related fields. Experience: 3–8 years in logistics, material handling, plant engineering, or facility management in manufacturing or automotive industries. Key Skills Required: Knowledge of capital and revenue budgeting. Strong understanding of logistics processes and material handling systems. Preventive maintenance management for MHE (Material Handling Equipment). Knowledge of EMS, OHSMS, and safety management. Good understanding of cost-saving methodologies and process improvement tools. Hands-on problem-solving ability with good communication and coordination skills. Work Model: Full-time | Onsite
