Packaging Manager

Job Specifications:

• Attention to Detail: High level of attention to detail in inspecting packaging materials, ensuring product safety, and preventing shipping errors.
• Technical Packing Knowledge: In-depth understanding of international packing standards, including knowledge of carton strength (GSM), product dimensions, and proper packaging methods for delicate items (e.g., glass containers, oils, etc.).
• Familiarity with Export Regulations: Understanding of international shipping regulations, especially for the USA and Europe, including labelling, customs requirements, and any specific restrictions for food products like honey and oils.
• Time Management Skills: Ability to manage multiple packing orders simultaneously while meeting deadlines and adhering to quality standards.
• Safety Standards Compliance: Knowledge of and adherence to workplace safety standards, especially in handling potentially hazardous materials (like oils) and maintaining a safe, organized packing area.
• Team Collaboration: Ability to work effectively as part of a team, especially with logistics, inventory, and quality control teams.
• Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues that may arise during the packing process, including identifying and addressing discrepancies in packaging or shipping errors.
• Technical Equipment Handling: Comfortable with or willingness to learn how to use packing equipment such as shrink-wrapping machines, label printers, and carton sealing machines.
• Adaptability: Flexibility to work in different roles within the warehouse as needed (e.g., assisting with inventory or organizing shipments) and adapt to changing packing volumes during peak seasons.
